FOR THE KINKS, HELL MAY HAVE FROZEN OVER


The Kinks have spent over two decades apart from each other. I would have never put any money on the band ever getting back together. ButThat 20+ year separation may be coming to an end.
In an interview with the BBC this past Monday, front man Ray Davies said the group will be getting back together to record a new album.
“We’ve been talking about it because I’ve got all these songs that I wrote, then the band — not broke up, we parted company — and I think it’s kind of an appropriate time to do it.”
According to Ray, he was inspired by The Rolling Stones who just completed an eight day tour in the UK last week.
(It) “won’t be well-organized like the Stones – Great band, great at organizing their careers and Mick (Jagger) has done an incredible PR job and it’s kind of inspiring to see them doing it — but the Kinks will probably play in the local bar. The trouble is, the two remaining members, my brother Dave and Mick, never got along very well.
